Salvatore Mallimo, a versatile composer with a Master of Music degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, is adept at creating music across various genres and styles for different forms of media. His adaptability makes him an exciting prospect for filmmakers and game developers looking for a composer who can bring their vision to life.
Currently, he is scoring the web series, Meet Me in Montclair. Most recently, in September 2023, he released the children's album A Day in the Life, co-written with Jeremy Pholwattana. Salvatore Mallimo received a Best Score Award from the Red Dragon Creative Awards (January 2022) for the promo video for the novel Piccolo Santino. In addition, he earned an Honorable Mention for his submission to the 2021 Horror Hotel Film Scoring Competition. Furthermore, his score was featured in the animated short War With Myself (2020) directed by Sal Mallimo Sr., a Semi-Finalist in the 2021 Osaka Film Festival, a Finalist in the 2021 Dubai Independent Film Festival, and an Official Selection of the 2021 San Francisco Indie Short Festival, 2020 Madrid Film Awards, and 2021 Hong Kong Indie Film Festival among others. Similarly, he also scored the short film Tiana (2020), directed by Mariya Samoylova. Salvatore has also spent over 20 years as a classical pianist, appearing as a solo recitalist throughout the New York Metropolitan area, most notably at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. He holds three degrees in classical piano performance, including a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University-New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Music degree from Montclair State University.
